Tyler Knudson Construction LLC (TKC) has provided quality general contracting services to the Wausau area since 2013.

TKC was founded by Tyler Knudson and with continually growing demand he needed a business partner, so in 2020 Co-owner Keith Sampica joined the business. Together, they have assembled a team of skilled carpenters, knowledgeable office personnel, and trusted trade experts who share their vision and values for building a successful and respected construction and remodel business.

At TKC, our approach is built around understanding your unique needs and preferences.  We take pride in being different from other remodelers by offering personalized solutions that cater specifically to each client’s goals. Whether you are looking for a large addition or just minor renovations, know that both our full-time jobsite crews and office team are devoted to delivering exceptional results every step of the way!

Our core value at TKC has been, and always will be, integrity. We are continually educating ourselves and seeking ways to improve so we can maintain happy clients while never sacrificing the quality of our workmanship.

Our Team

Co-owner/Director of Construction Operations

Tyler’s favorite part of the job is getting to problem solve. Tyler’s favorite TKC project was a lake house renovation project on lake Wausau. It was an addition that added windows and needed to be framed by hand. This made it a complex job that was very rewarding to see through from start to finish! Outside of work, Tyler enjoys cooking, boating, snowboarding, outdoor activities, and family time.

Co-owner/Director of Business Operations

Keith’s favorite part of the job is being able to see things go from start to finish. You get to see the progress day by day and the satisfaction of seeing the completed project, knowing everything that went into it. Keith’s favorite TKC project was a high-end bathroom remodel with intricate modern tilework throughout it. Outside of work, Keith enjoys snowboarding, paddleboarding, hiking, and anything outdoors.

Office Manager

Jenny’s favorite part of the job is helping take a project from an idea to reality. Jenny’s favorite TKC project was a master bathroom project with a black tiled shower and a unique grey & white LVT floor. Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, woodworking and cheering on the MN Twins!

Office Assistant

Paige’s favorite part of the job is that there is always something new to learn. Paige’s favorite TKC project was a Parade of Homes remodel. It was the project that she was most involved with from start to finish. She enjoyed seeing the transformation and helping with all the little things to get the home prepared for the parade! Outside of work, Paige enjoys fishing (both on the ice and on a boat), the outdoors in general, and spending time at the racetrack watching her boyfriend race!

Lead Carpenter

Josh’s favorite part of the job is the large variety of job types that he gets to work on. Mainly because it offers him opportunities to either sharpen his skills or learn something new! Josh’s favorite TKC project was a basement remodel with shiplap accent walls and a custom fireplace mantle made from an antique piece of wood. Outside of work, Josh enjoys woodworking, hiking, and the occasional round of golf.

Lead Carpenter

Kara’s favorite part of the job is getting to do something different every day and being able to have creative freedom. Kara’s favorite TKC project was a master bath remodel that included flooring, framing, trim work, and tile. This project was her favorite because she was able to learn how to tile! Outside of work, Kara enjoys snowboarding, disc golf, riding motorcycles, kayaking, skating, and spending time with friends and family.

Kevin’s favorite part of the job is the demolition phase. Kevin’s favorite TKC project was an exterior remodel including siding, windows, and doors because it provided a lot of opportunities for him to learn new things! Outside of work, Kevin enjoys bowling, playing softball, and playing in cornhole tournaments.

Kipp’s favorite part of the job is that each project is a little different, he loves seeing the projects from start to finish. Kipp’s favorite TKC project was a garage remodel that gave him the opportunity to learn the start to finish process of a project including rough framing, roofing, siding and drywall! Outside of work, Kipp enjoys spending time with his family, doing house projects, and occasionally getting out on the water to fish!
